Privacy policy

Last updated: May 2026. Here's everything we collect, why, and what we don't.

What we don't collect

Your notes live in your browser's localStorage. They are not transmitted to our servers, ever.

What we do collect

Standard web server logs: your IP address, the page you requested, the time, your browser's user agent string. We use this for spam prevention, abuse detection, and aggregate traffic stats. Logs are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule.

We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (e.g. Plausible, Fathom) that does not use cookies and does not track individuals. If we do, it will show only aggregate page-view counts.

Advertising

Content pages (not the editor) may show display ads from a network like Google AdSense, Ezoic, or Mediavine. These networks may use cookies. If you'd like to opt out of personalized ads, see aboutads.info or use a browser-level ad blocker.

Third-party services

We don't intentionally load tracking scripts from third parties on the editor pages. If we add a feature that requires a third-party service (e.g. cloud sync), it will be opt-in and disclosed.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we don't hold your note content on our servers, there's nothing to request, delete, or port. For server logs (IP + page), you can email us via the contact page to request deletion. We'll process within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything substantive, we'll update the date above and post a note on the homepage for at least 30 days.
